Space the Final Frontier

Updated 21 April 2007

Do you remember where you were on July 19, 1969? I was watching Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon on television. I built models of the various Apollo space craft and launch centre. I grew up on Star Trek, and Star Wars, and still follow the NASA space missions through the Internet, Amateur Radio, television and books.

During a vacation to Florida we made a visit to the Kennedy Space Center. Only one day was spent there and it was not enough time to see everything, but that gives me a future opportunity to see the rest on another vacation.  While there they were building the new Space Shuttle Simulator ride that was to be open in 2007.
