I grew up with the Boy Scouts of Canada, starting off as a
Cub, (no Beavers at that time), progressing through Scouts and then on to the
newly formed Venturers. I left Scouting when I
joined Air Cadets and did not return for several years. I returned as a leader
with the Scouts for a short time while posted to CFB Borden.. I then
returned to Scouting as a leader when I when I moved to the Yarker area where my
son was enrolled as a Beaver and they were short Leaders. (Familiar story?)
I remained as Leader with the Beavers, moved up to Cubs, and for the last
couple of years have been with the District Pack Service Team
I have taken a break from Scouting although still active with VE3SFD at JOTA and
Brotherhood Camps
