Hawker Seafury FB11 of the Royal Canadian Navy Developed from the late WWII Hawker Fury, the Seafury went into service with the Royal Navy and the Navies of Canada and Australia. RCN and Australian Seafuries served in Korea where they were successful in combat with Mig 15s. A non-shipborne version was sold to Iraq. The serial number of this FS model is the one in Canada's National Aviation Museum in Ottawa and is unfortunately no longer airworthy. It served on HMCS Magnificent and was then based at Shearwater Nova Scotia. | |
